10 Best Ted Talk Everyone Should Watch

Before I got into podcasts on Spotify, I used to binge-watch Ted Talks on Youtube. This was back in 2017, around the time Ankit and I started our blog and my mindset began to shift.

I just wanted to do things differently. Better than average. Make money from an unconventional business, improve my fitness, and consume content that would give me a unique perspective on the world.

That’s when I stumbled upon some incredible YouTube channels – TED being one of them. In 2017, Ted was pretty new to me.

I remember diving into videos that completely challenged my way of thinking. Almost every single talk taught me something I hadn’t considered before.

And that’s exactly why I decided to put together a list of the best TED Talks. Most of them are over a decade old, and sure, you might’ve seen a few already but I promise, you’ll walk away with something new from each one.

10 Best Ted Talk Everyone Should Watch

Below is a list of TED Talks I’ve watched and personally enjoyed. Some inspired me, some shifted how I see the world, and others helped me understand my own mind and body better.

I’m pretty sure you’ll love them too.

1. Do schools k!ll creativity?

A great perspective by Sir Ken Robinson on how traditional schooling can limit creativity and why we need an education system that actually nurtures it.

2. Inside the mind of a Master Procrastinator

If you’re a procrastinator or have ever been one – you’ll get a clear look at what actually goes on inside the mind.

Tim Urban breaks down the different types of procrastination, why highly talented people often struggle with it more, and how to work your way out of that cycle.

3. Your body language may shape who you are

Social psychologist Amy Cuddy shares how your body language doesn’t just influence how others see you – it can actually change how you feel about yourself.

This TED Talk helped me understand how something as simple as power posing can boost confidence, even when you’re not feeling it.

4. The Power of Vulnerability

I’m honestly out of words, this video is incredible.

Brené Brown shares powerful insights from her research on human connection. A must-watch!

5. How great leaders inspire action

I can’t say enough about how much I enjoy listening to Simon Sinek. I’ve seen him speak on everything from love to relationships but this talk is hands down my favorite.

In it, he introduces the concept of the Golden Circle and the power of asking “Why?” Using examples like Apple, Martin Luther King Jr., and the Wright brothers, he explains how “People don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it.”

6. How to speak so that people want to listen

I was never a talkative person growing up, and after watching this video, I realized how that habit had affected my voice.

Julian Treasure, a sound expert, shares practical vocal exercises and tips on how to speak with empathy. This one really helped me!

7. What makes a good life? Lessons from the longest study on happiness

Robert Waldinger, director of a 75-year-long study on adult development, reveals what truly keeps us happy and healthy throughout life.

It’s a powerful talk with rare, research-backed insights into real happiness and lasting fulfillment.

8. My philosophy for a happy life

You’ll be amazed by Sam Berns’ dreams and ambitions, despite being diagnosed with Progeria – a rare disease that causes rapid aging.

His maturity and outlook on life at just 17 were truly remarkable. I was heartbroken to learn that he passed away just a few months after this Ted Talk, but his words still inspire me to this day.

9. Ten ways to have a better conversation

If you’re an introvert or often struggle to have meaningful conversations even with people who could have offered you opportunities, this TED Talk is definitely for you.

10. How to Make Stress Your Friend

A very good Ted Talk that helped me understand and perceive stress differently. Psychologist Kelly McGonigal explains how stress has been made out to be a public health enemy, but it may only be bad for you if you believe it is.

A great Ted for anyone who often finds themselves in a state of stress because of their job, business, or studies.

These are some amazing TED Talks I’ve personally enjoyed.

Next time, I’ll put together a list of great podcasts too.
